Theoretical Orientation

I approach therapy generally from an eclectic standpoint which allows me to use a variety of treatment modalities  to treat each unique individual that I meet with in counseling. This is a benefit in therapy because I meet my clients where they are and attempt to provide them with the most effective treatment for their specific trouble.  I think this client focused approach allows for more flexibility.

With that said I do often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused approach which I find to be very effective in treating many different struggles.  These approaches focus on increasing a persons control in their lives over the things that are bothering by providing ways to change and adapt thinking patterns to alter their view and experience of the world around them.
